Kappa Search Inc. (KSI) is a Chicago area recruiting agency specializing in the recruitment and placement of management, sales, engineering and technical professionals in a variety of fields.  Currently we are seeking an Operations Manager for our client who is a rapidly growing manufacturer of fastening systems supplied into the aerospace industry.  This person will lead and direct a division of our client’s company based out of Orange County CA and have full business operations and P&L responsibility. 

Job Title:  Operations Manager

Location:  Orange County, CA

Compensation:  $120,000 – $140,000

Key Responsibilities

–    Total responsibility for the manufacturing facility
–    Lead operations for 1 shift with approximately 30 employees
–    Direct responsibility for manufacturing, sales, budget, P&L, in house engineering, plant/equipment maintenance and project management
–    Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources and quality assurance

–    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field is required
–    Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
–    Experience and knowledge of the fasteners industry
–    Experience and knowledge of the aerospace industry
–    Budget planning experience
–    Full P&L experience
–    Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team with a willingness to provide hands-on input
–    Understanding of a total market environment relating to
            –    continual pricing and quoting
            –    contract negotiations with large customers
–    Demonstrated leadership in the areas of
            –    employee management
            –    production scheduling
            –    plant and equipment maintenance
–    Strong leadership, communication, organizational and motivation skills as demonstrated in a manufacturing environment
