One of our top international clients seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer as follows:
To improve and maintain quality process through the use of internal audits, benchmarking, QC circles, Continuous Improvement in order to ensure employees meet customer, society and stakeholder requirements.• Assure products coming in from assigned suppliers meet the set quality goals.
• Strive to achieve the targets set forth by the department supervisor to meet company goals and objectives.

Supplier development:
• Complete supplier rating reports, aid in analysis and development of improvement action plans, per the APEX system requirements
• Manage part quality problems. Aid in disposition of non-conforming product
• Coach problem resolution techniques to assigned suppliers and achieve effective closure of part problems
• Assist in deployment of robust quality control systems at assigned supplier sites
• Teach quality principles, systems, measurement and statistical techniques as appropriate to achieve desired levels of supplier development
• Understand technical drawings and specifications and write inspection standards & procedures for parts
• Select, specify IMTE
• Perform technical assessments
• Perform Process Sign-Off or Run @ Rate studies
• Specify, coordinate, review and approve PPAP. Coach supplier for PPAP
• Facilitate APQP activity at assigned supplier sites. Complete SQA responsible APQP activities (ASQP)
Aid in meeting continuous improvement goals and targets
• Practical knowledge (demonstrated by minimum of 2 years of effective participation) in: Process planning, set-up and control of common manufacturing processes such as – Aluminum Die casting, Machining, Metal/Plastic/Rubber forming, Heat treatment and automotive component assemblies.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices in above processes quality systems, process and system auditing principles
• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial or Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in above discipline with a minimum of 5 years work experience, 3 of which is as required in this job. BSME, MSME
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). If not already certified, should complete CQE certification, within 6 months of joining.
